How to make the most of natural light in the house

Natural light is the key element that your guests notice as soon as they enter your house. Besides creating a particularly welcoming atmosphere, sunlight gives the impression that the rooms are brighter, warmer and more spacious. So how can we make the most of natural light?

Add mirrors to reflect natural light. Use the power of reflection by installing mirrors in the room where you want to diffuse natural light. For rooms that are painted dark or benefit little from daylight, add a mirror that you can strategically position near a window to reflect light and project brightness throughout the room.

Optimize lighting by using complementary colors. It is important to choose colour combinations that complement each other and absorb natural light. The colours of a room change depending on the time of day and the location of the house.

Also, north-facing rooms receive indirect light and should be decorated with brighter colours. On the other hand, rooms on the south side receive warm natural light throughout the day. Rooms on the east side often receive warm light in the morning and those on the west side receive warm evening light. These rooms should be painted in brighter colours to stand out in natural light.

Taking advantage of the sun and its light will now seem easier thanks to these few tips.
